What to expect

Day 1 – Hobart to Strahan

Depart Hobart at 7:30 AM and travel through the Derwent Valley toward Tasmania’s rugged west. Visit Russell Falls and walk among the towering trees of Mount Field National Park. Stop at Lake St Clair, Australia’s deepest freshwater lake, before continuing through the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park. End the day in the charming west coast town of Strahan, where you’ll stay overnight.

Day 2 – Wild West Coast

Explore Tasmania’s untouched west coast. Climb the Henty Dunes, vast moving sand landscapes shaped by the wind. Join a guided walk through the ancient rainforest or take an optional Gordon River Cruise (own expense). Stay overnight in Strahan.

Day 3 – Cradle Mountain

Head inland to the alpine wilderness of Cradle Mountain–Lake St Clair National Park, part of the Tasmanian World Heritage Area. Choose your adventure—from the relaxing Dove Lake Circuit to the scenic hike up to Marion’s Lookout. Continue to Sheffield, known as the “Town of Murals,” before arriving in Launceston for the night.

Day 4 – Bay of Fires & East Coast

Travel to the East Coast to explore the stunning Bay of Fires, known for its white sands and orange-tinged rocks. Learn about the palawa, Tasmania’s Aboriginal people. Follow the coast to Bicheno, where you may spot the adorable little penguins that come ashore each night. Overnight in Bicheno.

Day 5 – Freycinet National Park to Hobart

Start early for Wineglass Bay Lookout in Freycinet National Park, where breathtaking coastal views await. Relax on the beach or opt for the Mount Amos or Hazards Beach walks. Continue along the scenic east coast, passing Swansea and Orford, before returning to Hobart in the evening.

Please note: If booking twin or double room options, a minimum of 2 persons is required.

Our guide Justin was amazing – knowledgeable, funny, friendly, helpful, versatile, and very committed to our enjoyment of the tour. I would highly recommend him as a guide and the company. The play ‘The ship that never was’ is not to be missed if you are going to Strahan. Tasmania is a beautiful state!

okidoki guys ! this tour was absolutely astonishing. our guide, hadyn, created the best energy for us, he took care equally to each one of us, played the guitare and sang for us, that added incredible emotional memories on top of the nature that is really beautiful in tasmania. he did everything to add as many memories as possible to this journey. it’s intense and you see a lot of the country. this is not for you if you just want to lay down. there is only nature, the bus and us, this is quite unique feeling (we were early in the season also) it went beyond my expectation. thank you hadyn and thank you legends !

It would be desirable if the next day’s stage was announced a little more in advance in order to be able to adapt to the respective options.

It was breathtaking. We got to know Tasmania in so many different ways. We saw so many beautiful places. Bredon was just great. He had a lot of energy to bring us closer to his home. We would do this again at any time. Best regards

Loved the tour- our tour guide Brendon was really nice. He remembered all our names really fast! Also our group had a drone- he always gave us the advice if the next stop is a good places to fly and take some pictures.. The best activity’s were the bay of fires- loved it, we had enough time to take some pictures and go for a swim. All the beaches were pretty coool and we also had enough time in the evening for eating and playing cards. We always had the possibility to choose between cooking and dining out- loved it Thanks Brendon and the team for the trip and the smooth running- if I’m coming back I will book with you guys again

The 5-day tour of Tasmania was absolutely fantastic I really appreciated that we had different hiking options every day, so there was something for everyone, no matter their fitness level. Despite the rain on the 3rd The day of the hike in the Cradle Mountains was awesome The accommodations (single rooms in the hostel) were all good. The best part, of course, was our guide Brendon. He told us about beautiful Tasmania with a lot of humor and gave us many tips and interesting facts about the individual stations. Brendon made this tour the absolute highlight of my trip to Australia
