Meet at Marina Pier in Glenelg, at the bottom of the stairs/ramp in front of The Oyster Bar. Glenelg is approximately 20 minutes from Adelaide CBD. The Marina Pier is located at the very end of Anzac Highway.

Boarding begins 15 minutes before departure. Check availability to see starting times.

• Customer-requested cancellations made at least 6 days prior to travel will receive a refund of 95% of the total booking amount. The remaining 5% will be retained as a non-refundable administration and booking fee. Cancellations made within 5 days of travel will incur a 100% cancellation fee, including no-shows.

You don’t need previous snorkelling experience, and the swim is controlled rather than free swimming in open water. A full-length 5 mm wetsuit provides buoyancy, the crew gives a detailed briefing, and you hold a flotation line in the water; you do need to be able to hold the line and climb three ladder rungs back onto the boat.

The front swim uses a net between the catamaran’s bows, where you lie in the water as dolphins may swim and play nearby. The back swim has you hold a mermaid line behind the boat, and swimmers are usually rotated between both experiences; on some days, dolphin activity may mean only one is offered.

Dolphin sightings from the boat have an exceptional track record on this cruise. Underwater encounters depend on wild dolphins choosing to approach, so the crew will position and rotate swimmers for the best possible opportunity without disturbing the animals.

Swimmers must be at least 9 years old. Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian on board, and that adult can either join the swim or travel as a dolphin-watching passenger.

Yes. Book this swimming experience for the swimmer and the separate watching experience for the non-swimmer; both travel on the same catamaran, so you can still enjoy the cruise together.

The catamaran can carry up to 24 swimmers, with other guests joining as dolphin watchers. Swimmers are organised and rotated between the front and back experiences so the crew can manage the water activity safely and give everyone a good opportunity to see dolphins underwater.
