The cost is per jet ski. Each jet ski can carry a maximum of 2 passengers. Please book as many jet skis as you need.

Start at a comfortable pace while your guide explains the controls and safe riding techniques. Once you are ready, open up the throttle and feel the coastline unfold around you, with Airlie Beach, the surrounding bays and open Whitsunday water creating the backdrop to the ride.

First-time riders are well catered for, while experienced riders can still enjoy the speed and responsiveness of the Sea-Doo. The small-group format keeps guide support close, giving you time to settle into the controls before making the most of the water.

Will was an incredible instructor for two young gals who have never touched a JetSki… He made us feel super confident and comfortable even showed us another of his favourite spots for photos, and WORKED for the best angles 📸📸 We loved him and this tour so much we booked again for tomorrow!! – the people you meet really do make a difference give the ginger ninja a raise ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cancellation Policy

  • A full refund will be offered for customer-requested cancellations made up to 6 days prior to travel. Cancellations made within 5 days of travel will incur a 100% cancellation fee, including no-shows.
  • Should supplier be required to cancel or the operation of the tour for any reason, including on the rare occasions due to inclement weather, an alternative date or itinerary will be offered to the passenger. If the alternative date or itinerary cannot be arranged or agreed upon, a full refund will be authorised. If the passenger accepts the alternative date or itinerary, no refunds will be issued.

Is this tour suitable for first-time jet ski riders?

Yes. Professional instruction, a safety briefing and time to become familiar with the controls are provided before the guided ride. The small-group format also allows the guide to support riders as they build confidence on the water.

Do I need a licence to drive the jet ski?

You do not need a boat or personal watercraft licence. However, anyone driving must be at least 16 years old and hold a valid driver’s licence.

Can children join the tour?

Yes. Passengers must be at least 8 years old, while drivers must be at least 16 and hold a valid driver’s licence. Each jet ski can carry a maximum of two people.

What swimming ability and fitness are required?

Basic swimming ability is required, and a life jacket is provided. Riding a jet ski also requires balance, grip and the ability to follow the guide’s safety instructions. Water conditions can sometimes make the ride more physically demanding.

Is this tour suitable during pregnancy or for guests with medical conditions?

No. This experience is not suitable during pregnancy or for guests with mobility impairments. Jet skiing can involve bumps and sudden movement, so it is also unsuitable for guests with back or neck problems or serious medical conditions that could be affected by the ride.

Where do I check in, and how early should I arrive?

Check in inside Rufus & Co Cafe at 33 Port Drive, Airlie Beach. Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure to complete check-in, the safety briefing and equipment preparation. Hotel transfers are not included.

What happens if the weather or water conditions are unsuitable?

The tour is weather dependent and operates only when conditions are considered safe. The riding conditions and pace may vary, and the tour may be postponed or cancelled when the weather or sea conditions are unsuitable.

Great tour and great value for money – we booked 2 jet skis for 4 people, it was definitely enough time out on the water and you get the opportunity to swap drivers half way. We booked as we were looking for something for us and our teenage boys to do to do as we were only docking for a short time as a Cruise stop – its 5 mins from the tender boats at the Cruise dock!
