Watch the Whitsundays settle into golden hour from the deck of Lady Enid, a beautifully restored 1962 timber yacht. This two-hour adults-only sail across Pioneer Bay is made for couples, friends and solo travellers who want to slow down, feel the breeze in the sails and see Airlie Beach from the water with an Aperol Spritz in hand.

Once clear of Coral Sea Marina, the sails rise and the yacht glides across the bay towards the Whitsunday Islands. Find a comfortable place on deck, follow the changing light across the mountains and coastline, or chat with the crew about the yacht’s sailing history and the local area. The pace is relaxed and social, leaving plenty of time to take photos and enjoy the view.

Your included Aperol Spritz is served with a shared antipasto plate of prawns, salami, cheeses, olives, semi-dried tomatoes, crackers and seasonal fruit. Beer, wine and soft drinks are also available to purchase from the onboard bar, so you can settle in and make the evening your own.

As the sun drops behind the mainland ranges, sail back towards Airlie Beach while twilight deepens and the town lights begin to shimmer across the water. Departure time follows the season, and the exact sailing route may change with the wind, tides and weather.

A lovely way to spend the afternoon early evening. Even with an overcast day it was lovely. The team on board were very knowledgeable and friendly. The nibble platters were prawns (at room temp) olives, salami, crackers, and cheese.

My husband Troy and I from Townsville needed a nice little break and this was the perfect relaxing 2hr sail for us just to chill out together. I think the little share food platter was done well, and I would have just done normal champagne but the dry orange was a nice touch. The crew were very friendly and we just relaxed loving the sunset got lots of nice pics thanks from a lovely little memory

A full refund will be offered for customer-requested cancellations made up to 4 days prior to travel. Cancellations made within 3 days of travel will incur a 100% cancellation fee, including no-shows.
Should supplier be required to cancel or the operation of the tour for any reason, including on the rare occasions due to inclement weather, an alternative date or itinerary will be offered to the passenger. If the alternative date or itinerary cannot be arranged or agreed upon, a full refund will be authorised. If the passenger accepts the alternative date or itinerary, no refunds will be issued.

Is this experience only suitable for couples?

No. The adults-only setting works well for couples, groups of friends and solo travellers. The shared deck and relaxed pace make it easy to enjoy the views independently or chat with the crew and other guests.

Will we visit any islands or beaches?

No. This is a two-hour sailing experience across Pioneer Bay, with views towards the Whitsunday Islands and back to Airlie Beach. The focus is on time under sail, the sunset and the atmosphere on board rather than an island or beach stop.

Is the antipasto plate a full meal?

The included food is a light shared antipasto plate rather than a full dinner. It includes prawns, salami, cheddar and camembert, olives, semi-dried tomatoes, crackers and seasonal fruit, shared between two guests.

Can I bring my own drinks or buy more on board?

BYO drinks are not permitted. A small selection of beer, wine and soft drinks is available to purchase with cash or card, in addition to the included Aperol Spritz.

Can dietary requirements be catered for?

Yes. Most dietary requirements can be catered for when they are provided during booking at least 24 hours before departure.

Is there a toilet on board?

Yes. The toilet is below deck and is reached by steep, ladder-like steps. The yacht also has narrow walkways, ropes and steps, so it is not suitable for wheelchairs or mobility aids.

Will the tour still run if the weather is cloudy or rainy?

Cloud or rain does not automatically cancel the sail. The skipper may adjust the route, and the tour may be cancelled when high winds or rough seas affect safety or comfort. If an operator cancellation is required, you will be notified with options to reschedule or receive a refund.
