Your day begins with pickup from a selected Airlie Beach location and a drive to the drop zone at Laguna Quays, around 35 minutes south of town. After check-in, you will be assigned a flight and meet your tandem instructor, who will take you through the safety briefing before fitting your harness.
The flight to altitude takes around 20 minutes. From up to 15,000 feet, you will experience up to 60 seconds of freefall at speeds of around 200 km/h. Once the parachute opens, the pace slows for a 5–7 minute flight over the Whitsundays coastline. Depending on the conditions and your instructor, you may also have the chance to help steer the parachute.
The jump finishes with a beach landing around the Laguna Quays or Midge Point area, with the exact landing beach determined by the wind and weather on the day. Return transport to Airlie Beach is included. Allow up to six hours for the full experience, as weather, air traffic and the day’s flight schedule can affect the timing.
Best experience of my entire life! The team was super nice and reassuring, they made this experience extra great! Shoutout to Waretini, an incredible instructor, who made me trust him enough to jump with him from a flying plane without feeling scared a second! The fall might seem scary but you’ll be enjoying it too much to even think about it while you’re doing it 🌊
Skydiving was an absolutely unforgettable adrenaline rush! It felt crazy at first, but surprisingly enjoyable, not at all like a rollercoaster. I’d 100% do it again and can totally recommend it to anyone considering it. A big shoutout to my instructor Bayley. He was a true professional. His calm and supportive manner made a huge difference, especially for someone like me who has a fear of heights. Thank you for the amazing experience!

No. This is a tandem skydive, so no previous experience is required. Your instructor manages the equipment and the jump while you follow the briefing and body-position instructions. You will meet your instructor and go through the process before boarding the aircraft.
Allow up to six hours from your Airlie Beach pickup to your return. Your booking time is your pickup time, not the time you will jump. Check-in, weather and the day’s flight schedule can all affect when your group boards the aircraft, so avoid making tight plans immediately afterwards.
The minimum age is 16, and anyone under 18 needs written consent from a parent or guardian. Participants need basic fitness, good general health and the ability to raise their legs for landing. If you have a medical condition or are unsure whether you can meet the physical requirements, check before booking.
The maximum weight is 115 kg, and every participant is weighed at check-in. Current surcharges are $25 for 95–99 kg, $50 for 100–109 kg and $100 for 110–115 kg. Final participation remains subject to the team’s safety assessment on the day.
A beach landing is included, but it remains subject to wind and weather conditions. The team uses different landing areas around Laguna Quays and Midge Point, so the exact beach cannot be confirmed in advance.
Wear comfortable, flexible clothing suited to the weather and secure enclosed shoes such as sneakers. Sandals, thongs and high heels are not suitable. Goggles are provided, including larger goggles that fit over most glasses. Bring photo identification, apply sunscreen and empty your pockets before the jump.
Photos and videos are optional extras and can be added when booking or at check-in. Tandem passengers cannot take phones, GoPros or personal cameras on the aircraft or during the jump. This restriction follows Australian Parachute Federation camera rules.
Yes, but spectators need to arrange their own transport because places are not provided on the skydive transfer bus. They can wait at the drop zone and watch you board the aircraft. Watching the actual beach landing cannot be guaranteed because the landing location changes with the wind, and spectators cannot access the private beach when it is used.
Very enjoyable experience. My tandem guide was great. Thanks Neal. Ruairi
Really enjoyed the experience! My instructor Neal, made me feel really relaxed throughout the experience and got some great gopro footage! I would really recommend this company and would do it again!
I loved the experience. I went with skydiver Bailey and he made the experience very calming and comfortable, which made jumping out of the plane stress free and exciting. I felt like I could do it all over again. Thank you for making this such a fun filled memory shared with my brother.
Insane! Really enjoyed it and felt as ease with the instructor.
My instructor Benjamin was fantastic! He did maybe 50% of this experience !
