This is an active Blue Mountains day with around 2–4 kilometres of guided walking. The main Wentworth Falls walk takes about 90 minutes and includes steep, uneven ground and roughly eight flights of stairs, so moderate fitness and sturdy closed-toe walking shoes are important. If you prefer a gentler pace, you can still enjoy the lookout views without completing the most demanding section.

Yes, it can be a rewarding family adventure for active children aged 6 and over who enjoy walking and nature. Guests aged 6–17 must stay with an adult or legal guardian throughout the day. The long duration and steep sections mean it is best suited to children who are comfortable with a full outdoor day.

This is a trail-based experience with rocky terrain, steps and steep sections, so it is not suitable for wheelchairs, walkers, prams or strollers. Travellers need enough mobility and fitness to manage the walking terrain safely.

Meals are not included, but there is time in a Blue Mountains town to choose food from local cafés or shops. You are also welcome to bring your own lunch, dinner and snacks, and carrying plenty of water is essential for the walks.

The main meeting point is Mercure Sydney at 818–820 George Street, using the Little Regent Street entrance, with selected inner-city pickup points also available. The main departure is usually around 10.00 am in winter and 12.00 pm in summer so the day can be timed around sunset. The tour finishes near Sydney Central at approximately 8.30 pm in winter or 10.30 pm in summer.

The tour normally still runs in light rain, and changing Blue Mountains weather can create dramatic waterfall and valley views. Your guide may adjust the route or lookout stops to make the most of the conditions. Sunset visibility naturally varies with the weather, and the tour is cancelled only when conditions make travel unsafe.

The late-afternoon timing gives you a good opportunity to look for kangaroos, wallabies and native birdlife as the bush becomes more active toward dusk. Your guide helps spot animals along the way, but they are wild and move freely, which makes every encounter a genuine part of the experience.
