What to expect

Set off on a 5.5-hour Brisbane River adventure aboard the Mirimar II, combining a scenic cruise with a visit to the world’s largest koala sanctuary. Departing from the heart of Brisbane City, the 75-minute cruise takes you from the bustling skyline to leafy riverside suburbs, with live commentary from your captain along the way. Refreshments, morning tea, and light meals are available from the onboard licensed café.

Arriving at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, enjoy three hours to explore Australia’s most iconic wildlife haven. Meet over 130 koalas, hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies, and discover the Platypus House. Don’t miss the Birds of Prey show featuring eagles and owls in flight, and the Sheepdog Show where working dogs display incredible herding skills. For an extra highlight, take part in a Koala Encounter and capture a memorable photo (additional cost).

After your visit, relax on the return cruise to Brisbane with Australian music and a drink from the bar. With wildlife encounters, entertaining shows, and scenic river views, this experience is one of Brisbane’s most enjoyable day trips.

Great day out , commentary was informative and funny on the boat and we enjoyed the sanctuary. Paid the extra to get close up to a Koala which was great . Make sure you buy a bag of Kangaroo food most of them are tame and will eat out of your hand
