Yes. It can be a brilliant family thrill for children who are at least 1.1 metres tall and comfortable with speed, spins and splashes. Everyone receives a safety briefing and life jacket before boarding, and the ride is fully supervised by a trained, licensed captain. The height requirement applies to every passenger.

No. You don’t need swimming ability or previous experience. The activity has a low fitness requirement, and the team provides a safety briefing, life jacket and fully supervised ride before the action begins. You just need to be able to follow the captain’s instructions and hold on through the faster manoeuvres.

Expect a lively 35 minutes of speed, sharp turns, spins, slides and saltwater spray. Between the bigger manoeuvres, you’ll also have time to take in the mangrove-lined Trinity Inlet and hear local commentary. The captain keeps safety front of mind throughout, giving the ride a confident balance of thrill and control.

Phones and loose cameras need to stay ashore during the ride. A small locker box is available at check-in, and photos and video are taken during the action and available to purchase afterwards. That leaves you free to enjoy every spin without worrying about your device.

Yes, Trinity Inlet gives you a genuine chance to spot local wildlife as the boat moves through its mangrove channels. The area is saltwater crocodile habitat, and the captain keeps watch along the route while pointing out the scenery. Any sighting is a memorable bonus alongside the speed, spins and spray.

Check in at Wharf A, Marlin Marina, beside the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal at 1 Spence Street. Arrive at least 15 minutes before your booked departure for check-in and the safety briefing. Allow around 50 minutes in total, including the 35-minute ride.
