Join the Red Route to experience Darwin’s best attractions — from the lush greenery of the Botanic Gardens to the fascinating marine life at Crocosaurus Cove. History lovers can visit the Military Museum and learn about Darwin’s World War II legacy.

The tour continues through Fannie Bay and extends to East Point Reserve in the afternoon, offering sweeping coastal views. On board, enjoy digital English commentary sharing Darwin’s history, culture, and unique tropical lifestyle.

Choose between a 1-day Classic or 2-day Premium pass. Buses run every 35-45 minutes from April to September and every 60-90 minutes from September to April (subject to local traffic conditions). Catch a bus anytime from 09:00 to 17:45 between April and September, and from 09:00 to 16:30 from September to April.

Darren was an excellent driver and very knowledgeable. He was also very kind and helpful to people with a bit of difficulty getting around. His safety in all aspects of the tour was exceptional. He even had electrolyte tablets if someone needed them. I would recommend this tour absolutely.

The main starting point is Stop #1: Tourist Information Centre. You’ll find this at the corner of Smith St and Bennett St (southern side of The Mall). However, you can join the tour at any of our hop-on, hop-off stops.

The Morning Tour runs every 60 minutes between 9am – 11am

  • You can hop on and off the bus at any of the 12 stops around the city
  • Suitcases (Including carry-on luggage) are not permitted on the bus due to space constraints and the safety of passengers. Third party luggage storage facilities are available close to major stops
