• Customer-requested cancellations made at least 6 days prior to travel will receive a refund of 95% of the total booking amount. The remaining 5% will be retained as a non-refundable administration and booking fee. Cancellations made within 5 days of travel will incur a 100% cancellation fee, including no-shows.
• Should supplier be required to cancel or the operation of the tour for any reason, including on the rare occasions due to inclement weather, an alternative date or itinerary will be offered to the passenger. If the alternative date or itinerary cannot be arranged or agreed upon, a full refund will be authorised. If the passenger accepts the alternative date or itinerary, no refunds will be issued.

You’ll have about 2.5 hours on Fitzroy Island, followed by about 3.5 hours on Green Island. Fitzroy is the shorter stop, so it works best if you choose one main plan—such as a rainforest walk, beach time or snorkelling—then use the longer Green Island stay for a relaxed mix of reef viewing, swimming and lunch. The transfer between the islands leaves at about 11:45 am, and the tour returns to Cairns at around 5:00 pm.

When booking, choose the option that best suits your group. The snorkelling option includes gear you can use at both islands. The glass-bottom boat option includes one reef-viewing trip scheduled at one of the islands, making it a great dry option for non-swimmers. Extra reef activities may also be available to add when you book.

Absolutely. Choose the glass-bottom boat option for underwater views without getting wet, then enjoy the beaches, rainforest walks and island facilities at your own pace. Green Island may also offer a semi-submarine trip as a paid extra, while anyone keen to snorkel can choose that inclusion separately. It works nicely for groups where not everyone wants to do the same activity.

Your boat transfers are hosted by the crew, with onboard information to help you plan the day, but your time on the islands is mainly self-guided. That gives you the freedom to walk, swim, snorkel or simply relax at your own pace. If you’d like more guidance in the water, you can add a guided Snorkel Safari when booking.

You can pre-book a picnic lunch to enjoy on Fitzroy Island, or choose the buffet served aboard the air-conditioned Big Cat at Green Island. The picnic option includes a baguette or wrap, fruit, a muesli bar and bottled water. Vegetarian, coeliac/gluten-free and pork-free picnic options are available. Boarding begins at 8:00 am for the 8:30 am departure, with final boarding at 8:25 am. A digital boarding pass is normally sent the afternoon before travel, so keep it handy and follow the boarding directions shown there. The tour is scheduled to return to Cairns at around 5:00 pm.

The trip uses fast, stable catamarans, but sea conditions can still vary from day to day. If you’re prone to motion sickness, arrange your preferred remedy before travel. If you plan to take a suitable motion-sickness tablet, take it around 30 minutes before departure, following the product directions or advice from a pharmacist.
