Fitzroy Island is 94% covered by rainforest and protected as a National Park, offering scenic walking trails, crystal-clear waters, and coral beaches. Relax, swim, snorkel, or join guided activities before returning to Cairns in the late afternoon.

We loved Fitzroy island! We found great spots for snorkeling around the reef and even saw 3 turtles. You do need some patience to find the right spot and be lucky with the tides. While on the boat they proposed to book an extra snorkel tour with a marine biologist and this was so interesting, we would recommend!

Fitzroy island was the highlight of my whole trip! As a solo traveler, it was an excellent and peaceful addition to my itinerary. The boat ride was great and everyone was kind.
We had an amazing day on our tour! Our tour guide Orien was amazing, full of local knowledge and facts. He brought a great and vibrant atmosphere to the day! The weather was slightly against us on the day, but Orien made sure we made the most of the day. The bus itself that we were on for the day was in great condition and was very comfortable. Would highly recommend booking!
