What to expect

Your adventure begins with a hotel pickup from Ayers Rock Resort and a transfer to Ayers Rock Airport. After a full safety briefing, board your helicopter and take off for a breathtaking journey above the Red Centre.

Soar over Uluru–Kata Tjuta National Park, where panoramic views reveal the immense scale of this ancient landscape. Fly past the western face of Kata Tjuta (Mount Olga) for the rare chance to capture Uluru and the domes of Kata Tjuta in a single, postcard-perfect photo.

I was able to sit in the front as I was on my own. Fantastic flight out to Kata Tjuṯan and to Uluru, you don’t get as close as I thought but wow still great and best way to see them. 100% recommend. There was 2 helicopters that went out together and I could see the other one went low to see the camels and thought ours would too but he didn’t which was a shame.

Rain hampered our initial booking and the operator bent over backwards to find another time. Great communication, friendly, professional and fair. For those with a walking aid, a small step to get into chopper. Not sure if possible but would love a digital image of photo purchased. This is a fabulous tour operator!

Know before you go

  • These flights do not fly directly over nor completely around Uluru or Kata Tjuta due to the cultural sensitivity of the feature
  • You will need to be able to use steps and platforms to enter and exit the helicopter
  • A 2-person minimum applies to flights. Single passengers will be paired with other passengers
  • The listed departure times are approximated. The activity provider will contact you to confirm your flight and meeting point time. They will do their best to accommodate your preferred departure time, though it cannot be guaranteed

Cancellation Policy

  • Customer-requested cancellations made at least 6 days prior to travel will receive a refund of 95% of the total booking amount. The remaining 5% will be retained as a non-refundable administration and booking fee. Cancellations made within 5 days of travel will incur a 100% cancellation fee, including no-shows.
  • Should supplier be required to cancel or the operation of the tour for any reason, including on the rare occasions due to inclement weather, an alternative date or itinerary will be offered to the passenger. If the alternative date or itinerary cannot be arranged or agreed upon, a full refund will be authorised. If the passenger accepts the alternative date or itinerary, no refunds will be issued.
