The cruise departs from Cairns Marina at 8:30 am and returns to Cairns at 4:30 pm.

• A full refund will be offered for customer-requested cancellations made up to 6 days prior to travel. Cancellations made within 5 days of travel will incur a 100% cancellation fee, including no-shows.
• Should supplier be required to cancel or the operation of the tour for any reason, including on the rare occasions due to inclement weather, an alternative date or itinerary will be offered to the passenger. If the alternative date or itinerary cannot be arranged or agreed upon, a full refund will be authorised. If the passenger accepts the alternative date or itinerary, no refunds will be issued.

The day is planned around three different Outer Great Barrier Reef sites, selected from locations around Flynn, Pellowe, Milln and Thetford Reefs. The crew chooses the sites that best suit the day’s snorkelling, diving and sea conditions, giving you a fresh underwater setting at each stop. On rare occasions, weather or unforeseen conditions may require a change to the number or order of sites.

Yes. You’ll receive equipment instructions and a site briefing at every stop, with qualified lifeguards supervising the water. Flotation devices and buoyancy vests are available, prescription masks are included, and a guided snorkel tour at the third site gives you extra support while exploring the reef. Let the crew know if you’d like closer supervision before entering the water.

Yes. No previous experience or certification is needed for an introductory dive. Your instructor takes you through the briefing, equipment and basic skills, stays beside you underwater, and the experience usually includes around 30 minutes beneath the surface. The minimum age is 12, and participants must meet the medical requirements and complete the required questionnaire.

Bring proof of an internationally recognised scuba certification. If it has been a while since your last dive and you cannot complete a refresher beforehand, you can begin with the first introductory dive and, once comfortable, join the second and third certified dives. All dives are guided.

Yes. Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult, and families who are comfortable around the water can share a full day of snorkelling and reef exploration. The vessel has air-conditioned lounges, spacious sundecks, change rooms and hot freshwater showers between sessions. Children should be confident in the water, and scuba diving is available from age 12 subject to the medical requirements.

The 29-metre high-speed catamaran has a computerised ride-control system designed to make the Outer Reef crossing smoother, along with air-conditioned seating and open sundecks. Conditions on the open sea can still vary, so if you’re prone to motion sickness, take your usual precautions before departure and follow the product directions or advice from a pharmacist.

Allow at least 12 hours after one dive before flying or travelling above 300 metres. After multiple dives, allow 24 hours. This also applies to activities such as skydiving, hot-air ballooning and trips to Kuranda, so it is best to schedule them for another day.

This is a vessel-based reef adventure rather than a pontoon day. The catamaran travels between three Outer Reef sites, and its large hydraulic platform provides easy water access at each stop. The focus is on maximising your time snorkelling or diving, with air-conditioned lounges and spacious sundecks available between sessions.
