Meet 30 mins prior to departure at our Reef Adventures office located inside the Pier Shopping centre. The crew will then meet you and lead you down to the boat.

• A full refund will be offered for customer-requested cancellations made up to 6 days prior to travel. Cancellations made within 5 days of travel will incur a 100% cancellation fee, including no-shows.
• Should supplier be required to cancel or the operation of the tour for any reason, including on the rare occasions due to inclement weather, an alternative date or itinerary will be offered to the passenger. If the alternative date or itinerary cannot be arranged or agreed upon, a full refund will be authorised. If the passenger accepts the alternative date or itinerary, no refunds will be issued.

The tour lasts approximately four hours, with around 1.5 hours of guided snorkelling at the reef. The remaining time includes the fast boat journey from Cairns, boarding and safety briefings.

The skipper will select either Upolu Reef or Breaking Patches on the day, based on the weather and tides. This tour normally visits one reef location rather than stopping at two separate sites.

Yes. First-time snorkellers can join if they can swim, are comfortable in open water and have a moderate level of fitness. A snorkel guide, equipment and flotation devices are included. This tour is not suitable for non-swimmers.

Guests must be between 6 and 65 years old. Children joining the tour must also be able to swim and manage an active open-water snorkelling experience.

A moderate level of fitness is required because snorkelling in open water can be physically demanding. The tour is not suitable for guests with low fitness, mobility or visual impairments, pre-existing back, neck or hip injuries, or those who are heavily pregnant. All participants must sign a waiver before departure.

This fast-vessel tour is not suitable for guests who are prone to seasickness. If motion sickness is a concern, a larger catamaran or pontoon-style reef tour may be a more comfortable choice.

Your tour includes snorkelling equipment, a snorkel guide, flotation devices, seasonal stinger suits, snacks, Marine Park fees and GST. Wetsuits and prescription masks are available to hire, while drinks can be purchased on board. Bring a card for any onboard purchases.

The reef location and departure time may change depending on the weather and tides. If the tour has to be cancelled because conditions are unsafe, you can move to another available date or receive a full refund.
