Had a great time! The buffet lunch was very good and the snorkeling was great! Victor our guide on the glass bottom boat tour was fabulous! Helped us spot a turtle and clownfish. The semi submersible boat was out for maintenance which was a bummer but still had a great time.

Choose the standard pontoon option if you want the freedom to split your day between snorkelling, dry reef-viewing activities, the waterslide, enclosed ocean pool, sundeck and buffet lunch.
The introductory-dive option adds a fully guided first scuba dive with training and equipment included. The certified-dive option is designed for qualified divers who want to spend up to 50 minutes exploring beneath the surface. If seeing the reef from above is high on your list, the helicopter option includes the full pontoon day plus a 10-minute scenic flight.
These are four separate choices in the current booking selector, so choose the experience you most want included in your day.
Yes. The pontoon gives you several ways to experience the Great Barrier Reef without needing to swim. You can see beneath the surface from the underwater observatory, glass-bottom boat and semi-submersible when operating conditions allow, watch the fish-feeding presentation, relax on the sundeck and enjoy lunch overlooking the reef.
If you would like to try snorkelling, buoyancy jackets are included and the crew can help you feel comfortable before entering the water.
No previous experience or certification is required for the introductory-dive option. You will receive a full briefing, practise with the equipment at the pontoon and enter the water with a qualified instructor. Groups are limited to a maximum of four guests per instructor and all dive equipment is included.
The certified-dive option requires a current, internationally recognised diving certification, which you will need to present on the day. The guided dive can last up to 50 minutes and reach a maximum depth of 18 metres.
Both scuba-diving options are available to guests aged 12 and over. Divers under 18 must have a consenting parent or legal guardian present.
All divers need to review the medical checklist before booking. Certain medical conditions or regular medications may require a signed fit-to-dive certificate, and guests aged 65 and over require medical clearance. Scuba diving is not available during pregnancy.
The helicopter option adds a 10-minute scenic flight during your pontoon visit. The flight takes off and lands at the pontoon helipad, giving you an aerial view of the coral formations, turquoise channels and surrounding reef before you continue enjoying the activities on the platform.
An accurate body weight is required for every passenger so the aircraft can be safely balanced. The maximum single-seat weight is 130 kilograms. In the current booking selector, the helicopter experience is offered separately from the two dive options.
Yes. The stable two-level pontoon gives families plenty of choice throughout the day. Younger children can enjoy the enclosed ocean pool, while families can use the waterslide, underwater observatory, glass-bottom boat and semi-submersible, or take breaks in the covered seating areas and on the sundeck.
The mixture of wet and dry activities makes it easier for family members with different ages and swimming confidence to enjoy the reef together. Children must remain under parent or guardian supervision throughout the tour. Families should also allow for an approximately two-hour catamaran journey in each direction.
The pontoon has change rooms and freshwater rinse showers. Toilets are located on the catamaran and remain accessible while the vessel is docked at the pontoon.
There is also covered seating, an upper-level sundeck and small lockers available for hire onboard the catamaran.
Many guests manage the crossing comfortably with a little preparation. The catamaran journey takes approximately two hours in each direction, and sea conditions can vary.
If you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend asking a pharmacist about a suitable preventative option and taking it according to the product directions before symptoms begin. Eating lightly, staying hydrated and sitting where you can get fresh air and see the horizon can also help.
I loved that they supplied a life jacket which made the snorkeling relaxing.
