Discover the Great Barrier Reef in a truly unique way on the Dreamtime Dive & Snorkel tour, which combines world-class reef exploration with a rich cultural experience. Your day begins aboard a modern vessel that takes you to two carefully selected reef sites, each showcasing colourful coral gardens, tropical fish, and diverse marine life.
With five full hours of water time, you can snorkel or dive among anemones, giant clams, sea whips, and plate corals. Spot clownfish, angelfish, and batfish weaving through the coral, while schools of trevally, red bass, and sweetlip gather nearby. Keep an eye out for turtles, rays, cuttlefish, and even reef sharks that frequent these waters.
What makes this tour truly special is the cultural connection. Indigenous Sea Rangers will share Dreamtime stories and explain the reef’s importance to the Gimuy Walubara Yidinji, Gunggandji, Mandingalbay, and Yirrganydji peoples. These narratives bring the reef to life, offering a deeper appreciation for both its natural and cultural heritage.
Morning tea, a buffet lunch, and afternoon tea are included to keep you refreshed throughout this unforgettable day on the reef.
The cruise departs from Cairns Marina at 9:00 am and returns to Cairns at 5:00 pm.
Please note: The minimum age to participate in scuba diving is 12 years old.
