• Customer-requested cancellations made at least 6 days prior to travel will receive a refund of 95% of the total booking amount. The remaining 5% will be retained as a non-refundable administration and booking fee. Cancellations made within 5 days of travel will incur a 100% cancellation fee, including no-shows.
• Should supplier be required to cancel or the operation of the tour for any reason, including on the rare occasions due to inclement weather, an alternative date or itinerary will be offered to the passenger. If the alternative date or itinerary cannot be arranged or agreed upon, a full refund will be authorised. If the passenger accepts the alternative date or itinerary, no refunds will be issued.

The 9am cruise is planned as a full day, returning to Cairns at around 5pm. You’ll usually have about five to five and a half hours on Green Island—plenty of time to enjoy a reef activity, explore the rainforest boardwalks, stop for lunch and still leave room for the beach.

It depends on the option you select. Activity-inclusive options let you choose either snorkel hire or a glass-bottom boat tour, while the lowest ferry-only option covers the return cruise without either activity. On the full-day trip, you can also add experiences such as the semi-submarine, buffet lunch, guided snorkelling or diving.

Absolutely. The glass-bottom boat gives you a snorkeller-style view from the surface, while the optional semi-submarine takes you below water level for a diver-style perspective. Both run for around 30 minutes with commentary and fish feeding, so there are easy ways to see the reef without getting wet.

When you select the snorkel-hire option, the standard snorkelling is self-guided from the beach. You’ll receive a safety presentation, and the equipment includes a mask, snorkel, fins, flotation vest and lycra suit, with a lifeguard stationed at the flagged northern beach. Beginners aged six and over can add a guided shallow-water session, while confident snorkellers can choose the longer Snorkel Safari.

Lunch is optional and is only included when selected with your booking. The buffet is served aboard the air-conditioned catamaran between approximately 11:15am and 1:15pm and should be pre-booked. The current menu includes labelled vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free choices. After booking, please contact us with any dietary requirements.

Yes, it can be a relaxed family day with plenty of flexibility between activities. The vessels are pram-friendly, and Green Island has boardwalks and pathways that work well with a pram, although the sandy beach itself is not practical for wheels. Prams can also be stored aboard the large catamaran. Infants under four travel free but must still be included in the booking.

The 9am full-day service uses a large, stable catamaran, and the crossing normally takes about one hour and 15 minutes. Conditions can occasionally feel bumpy, so take your usual precautions before boarding if you are sensitive to motion. Complimentary ginger tablets are available onboard and are best taken around 30 minutes before departure.
