This full-day Kangaroo Island tour from Adelaide takes you through the island’s best local experiences. Begin at Raptor Domain, where you’ll witness South Australia’s only free-flight Birds of Prey show. Continue to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery for a two-course lunch and a guided tour of the oil distillery, with optional cider tasting. Then head to Clifford’s Honey Farm to learn about the honey extraction process and taste a honey soft drink. You can also choose to sample the honey wheat ale or buy some of their famous honey ice cream.

I really enjoyed the wine tasting, meal and visit to the various places along the way (excluding the raptor show, not really my thing). The only thing which let the experience down was the weather, no fault of the tour.

loved all of it. Dani our guide was very knowledgeable of the area and she was great keeping us on schedule. highlights were eucalyptus distillery, birds of prey and great wine tasting.

It’s best suited to travellers who want a relaxed mix of island flavours, stories and scenery rather than the classic landmark circuit.

How long is the trip from Adelaide, and are the return ferry and coach transfers included?

Allow about 16 hours for the full return trip from Adelaide. Return coach and ferry travel is included, with a 6:45 am departure from Adelaide Central Bus Station; selected Adelaide hotel pickup and drop-off can be arranged after booking. Return is around 10:30 pm, with time to rest during the ferry and coach transfers.

What meals are included, and can dietary requirements be accommodated?

A two-course lunch is included at Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery. You’ll also have free time in Penneshaw to buy dinner at your own expense before the return ferry. After booking, please contact us with any dietary requirements.

Which tastings are included, and which are optional extras?

A structured wine tasting at False Cape Wines is included. Cider tasting at Emu Ridge and a sample of honey wheat ale at Clifford’s Honey Farm are optional extras.

What wildlife experiences are included?

The main included wildlife experience is Raptor Domain’s free-flight Birds of Prey presentation. You may also spot kangaroos, koalas or other native animals while travelling, but wild sightings depend on the day and aren’t guaranteed.
