No. This is a coach-based tour focused on Rainforestation Nature Park and free time in Kuranda Village. Transport between Cairns, the nature park and the village is by coach or shuttle, without Skyrail or the Scenic Railway.

You will usually have around three hours to explore Kuranda Village at your own pace. This provides time to browse the markets, shops and galleries, enjoy a café or visit an optional attraction. Entry to village attractions is at your own expense.

Lunch is not included with this tour, leaving you free to choose where and what to eat. Food and drinks can be purchased at Rainforestation Nature Park or during your free time in Kuranda Village.

The cultural program takes approximately one hour and combines a guided cultural walk with a traditional dance performance. You can try boomerang throwing, watch spear-throwing and didgeridoo demonstrations, and learn about Indigenous traditions and their connection with the rainforest.

The Army Duck ride is primarily a guided rainforest and amphibious vehicle experience, with commentary on tropical plants and opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. Wildlife sightings on the ride vary, while the wildlife park provides reliable opportunities to see native animals including koalas, kangaroos and crocodiles.

Return transfers are included from selected Cairns hotels and central pickup locations. Pickup times vary by location and normally begin from around 7.45am. Private homes and Airbnb properties are not pickup points, so use the confirmed location provided with your booking.

Most areas of Rainforestation Nature Park have paved or ramped paths, and accessible toilets are available. Guests using a wheelchair need to transfer onto the rear seat of the Army Duck, while tour coaches have steps and may not provide ramp access. Kuranda Village is explored independently, allowing you to adjust the amount of walking, but the complete journey is not step-free from beginning to end.

Yes. Rainforestation Nature Park is designed as an all-weather attraction. The Army Ducks have protective roofs, while most of the standard cultural and wildlife activities are undercover or use all-weather paths. Bring a light rain jacket in case of showers.
