Start your day with a convenient 9:00 AM pick-up from your Darwin accommodation, traveling with a knowledgeable guide who will share insights into the region. Your first stop is Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve, once a rice-growing project and now a birdwatcher’s paradise, home to an impressive variety of species.
Next, head to the Window on the Wetlands Information Centre, where interactive displays explain the wetlands’ ecosystems. From the upper viewing deck, enjoy sweeping views across the Adelaide River floodplains.
The highlight of the tour is a 2.5-hour cruise on the Mary River Wetlands, a pristine environment boasting the world’s highest concentration of saltwater crocodiles. As you glide through the waterways, expect to see crocs basking along the banks and around 30 different bird species in their natural habitat.
A healthy cold lunch is served onboard, featuring fresh salads, sliced meats, and bread to make your own sandwiches — all while surrounded by nature and wildlife. After your cruise, relax on the return journey, arriving back in Darwin around 5:00 PM.
Great trip, The guide was knowledgeable and fun. We had a great day and saw lots of wildlife, leered more about the ecology and the threatened habitats and had a great lunch. Highly recommend as a day out.

We had a fantastic time. Our guide Richard was amazing. With his help, we spotted lots of crocodiles and birds. He explained everything in a clear and friendly manner. The boxed lunch was delicious and large- We couldn’t have asked for a better day
Beautiful day! The guide provided Blak history and advocated well for animal welfare in a neutral and professional way. The pickup was 30min late but I did recieve a phone call to let me know so recommend having water and snacks ready from the get go. Lunch for a vego was adequate, not amazing; the rest of the tour absolutely made up for it! Overall for the price a fantastic experience. Definitely for bird lovers!

This was a fabulous day. Our guide, Evan was well informed, had a great sense of humor and made sure every passenger was comfortable safe and well fed with a nice cold meat salad lunch. We saw lots of crocs, birds and wildlife. Highly recommend, it was a great day.
