Spend a day exploring McLaren Vale, one of South Australia’s most loved wine regions, just a short drive from Adelaide. Known for its Mediterranean climate and diverse soils, the region produces wines with real character — something you’ll notice from the very first sip.
Throughout the day, you’ll visit a selection of local wineries and taste a range of styles, from rich, full-bodied Shiraz to smooth and balanced Cabernet Sauvignon. Each stop offers something a little different, giving you a better feel for what makes McLaren Vale so unique.
It’s not just about the wine, though. The scenery here is just as memorable — rolling vineyards, open countryside, and fresh coastal air all add to the experience. It’s the kind of place where you naturally slow down and enjoy the moment.
Along the way, you’ll also have the chance to pair wines with simple local food, helping you appreciate the flavours even more without overcomplicating things.
Whether you already know your wines or you’re just curious to try something new, this is an easy, enjoyable way to experience McLaren Vale. Good wine, good views, and a relaxed day out — that’s really what it’s all about.
Just letting you know that we loved our trip to Maclaren Vale today. From start to finish, it was great. Parry( sorry if spelling is wrong) was brilliant and professional . Just the right amount of information delivered in a friendly and interesting way . Good choice of wineries as they were varied. Lunch was special too! Luxurious vehicle!
We were picked up by Pete, bang on time. The minivan was very clean and comfortable. There were only 8 of us on the trip so we were able to chat with each other and Pete. We visited 4 wineries. The 1st, Oliver’s Tarango was my favourite in terms of Persians wines as Jacqui, our host was very knowledgeable and also we were served bread, olive oil and almonds with the tastings. 2nd was Shottesbrooke followed by lunch at Oxenberry Farm. We had a lovely lunch alongside the wine tasting, though a couple of things on the menu were not available. Also they seemed short staffed so the tastings were a bit slow to begin with then very rushed at the end. The d’Arenburg Cube is definitely the most interesting and bizarre experience and definitely worth a visit though I didn’t particularly enjoy the wine. Pete also dropped us off in the centre of Adelaide, as we requested. A great trip and we’d recommend it.

Perfect weather, great people in our group and delicious wine!
Great day. 4 lovely wineries. Good value for money.
Our tour was great with a full bus of 12. We were picked up on time and had a relaxed drive out to McLaren Vale with Parry at the wheel. We visited 3 wineries on the day along with a quick stop for chocolate and a fantastic unassuming lunch venue. The food was amazing and the portions were big.
Number of wineries and lunch at the 3rd one – Oxenbury.
