Absolutely. No previous skydiving experience is needed. You’ll receive a safety briefing before take-off and be securely attached to a professional tandem instructor, who handles the technical side from leaving the aircraft through to landing. Feeling nervous is completely normal, and many first-time jumpers say the crew helped them relax and enjoy the rush.

Plan this as a full-day outing from Cairns. The road transfer to Mission Beach is around two hours each way, and the day also includes check-in, a safety briefing and a shuttle to the airport before your weather-dependent flight. Keep the rest of the day flexible so you can enjoy the experience without watching the clock.

Yes—free return transfers are included from selected Cairns pickup points. Choose from the available locations when booking, then follow the confirmed pickup time in your booking details. The coach takes you to the Mission Beach drop zone and returns to Cairns after the group’s jump schedule is complete.

Photos and videos aren’t included, but professional media packages can be added during checkout or purchased at the drop zone. Personal cameras, GoPros and camera-equipped smart glasses can’t be carried during the flight or jump. Purchased media is delivered digitally after the skydive, usually within 24–48 hours.

After check-in at Mission Beach, the local shuttle takes you to Tully Airport, around 25 minutes away, for take-off. You’ll return under parachute to an approved beach landing site along the Mission Beach coastline. The exact stretch of beach is chosen on the day to suit the wind and weather conditions.

The minimum age for a tandem skydive is 16 years. Anyone aged 16 or 17 must attend the drop zone with a parent or legal guardian, who must complete and sign the required consent and check-in forms while the young participant is present.

Yes, but you’ll need to leave at least 24 hours between your last scuba dive and the skydive. If you’re planning both activities while visiting Cairns, the easiest option is to schedule your skydive first and your scuba diving afterwards.
