What to expect

This full-day adventure combines the thrills of ATV riding with the relaxation of Tangalooma Island Resort and the wonder of wild dolphin feeding. Begin your journey with a scenic boat ride from Brisbane to Moreton Island, where a complimentary beverage can be enjoyed either on the way there or back.

Upon arrival, the highlight of the day awaits — an ATV quad bike ride along sandy beaches and through bushland tracks. With the help of expert guides and basic training, you’ll confidently ride through some of Australia’s best dedicated ATV tracks.

Throughout the day, enjoy full resort access including swimming pools, restaurants, and bars. Use your lunch voucher to dine on international cuisine of your choice, then relax with a cocktail or mocktail while watching the sunset. Visit the Eco-Centre for a presentation on dolphins and their marine environment.

As evening arrives, gather at the jetty to watch wild dolphins swim to shore for their nightly feed — a magical wildlife encounter unique to Tangalooma. At around 7:00 PM, depart the island and cruise back to Brisbane, arriving at approximately 8:15 PM.

We had an absolutely fantastic time on this trip! My children and I enjoyed every moment, especially the Quad Bike tour, which was both thrilling and fun. A truly remarkable highlight was witnessing the wild dolphins come for their night feed—an unforgettable experience. The beach was beautiful, and the facilities were well-maintained and clean, adding to our overall enjoyment. It was the perfect getaway, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and memorable adventure.

Know before you go

  • The dolphin viewing experience is dependent on dolphin attendance, tides, and weather.
  • Tour return time varies throughout the year according to sunset times. Tour departs Moreton Island at approximately 7 PM in Winter, 7:30 PM in Autumn and Spring, and 8:00 PM in Summer. Tour returns back to Brisbane approximately 75 minutes later.
  • Some of the activities and tours at Tangalooma Island Resort are physically demanding and may pose a health or safety risk. For safety reasons, please advise if you are suffering from any injuries or medical conditions (such as pregnancy, epilepsy, or cardiovascular conditions), or have a disability, disease, or illness which may be aggravated by participation in or may interfere with your ability to safely participate.
  • The minimum age to participate is 10 years.

Cancellation Policy

  • A full refund will be offered for customer-requested cancellations made up to 6 days prior to travel. Cancellations made within 5 days of travel will incur a 100% cancellation fee, including no-shows. 
  • Should supplier be required to cancel or the operation of the tour for any reason, including on the rare occasions due to inclement weather, an alternative date or itinerary will be offered to the passenger. If the alternative date or itinerary cannot be arranged or agreed upon, a full refund will be authorised. If the passenger accepts the alternative date or itinerary, no refunds will be issued.

To see the dolphins so close and to enjoy them interacting with the visitors was just unique. They seem to have fun, I have never seen wild dolphins being so close to humans. Truly a visit worth. The tour offers a lot for the money! 25 Dollar coupon for the lunch, a cocktail in the evening and a softdrink on the boat! The Quad Bike trip was extremely adventurous, you have to be brave!
