What to expect

Join a full-day adventure to Moreton Island and Tangalooma Island Resort, where snorkelling, relaxation, and dolphin encounters await. Your journey begins with check-in at the Brisbane wharf, where staff will confirm the day’s timings. Board a scenic 75-minute ferry ride across Moreton Bay, with a complimentary beverage offered either on the way there or on your return.

Upon arrival, enjoy some free time to explore the island and full access to resort facilities including swimming pools, cafés, restaurants, bars, and sandy beaches. The highlight of the day begins with a guided snorkelling tour at the Tangalooma Wrecks, one of Australia’s most renowned snorkelling spots. Discover vibrant coral formations, schools of reef fish, and fascinating marine life beneath the surface.

In the afternoon, you may join the Discover the World of Dolphins presentation at the Eco Centre at 3:15 PM, or continue exploring the island at your own pace until sunset. As evening approaches, make your way to the jetty for the magical wild dolphin feeding program. Witness dolphins as they visit the shallows to play and feed, and step into the water to hand-feed a wild bottlenose dolphin. Guided by the Dolphin Care Team and Eco Rangers, this experience is conducted under strict protocols to ensure the dolphins’ protection.

At approximately 7:00 PM, depart Moreton Island by ferry. After a 75-minute journey, you’ll arrive back at Brisbane wharf around 8:15 PM, closing out a day filled with marine adventures, relaxation, and unforgettable wildlife encounters.

The trip was amazing. Had my snorkeling trip at 3:15pm and it was very educational, however I decided to rent some snorkeling equipment in the morning aswell and made my way to the wrecks, highly recommend it as you get to be at your own pace and explore them a longer than during the guided snorkel. Got to see 2 species of turtles, plenty of fish, a Lion fish and was lucky enough to see a spotted Wobbegong swiming around! The dolphin feeding was great, very educational and done very ethically, which was the most important part, keep the dolphins wild. All in all, great experience.

There is so much to do at Tangalooma Resort! We loved swimming in the beach and pool, having access to the table tennis, dolphin centre and all the delicious eateries. The dolphin feeding was a memorable highlight as was the snorkelling. The guides were encouraging, patient and made the experience lots of fun.

Really enjoyed the day on Moreton Island. The snorkelling team were so helpful and encouraging even when I freaked out initially in the water (not the strongest swimmer). Dolphin feeding was amazing, so lovely to see them up close.

We had a great experience on the day trip. Early morning start was great as it gave us time to walk along the beach to the wrecks, had a great snorkelling experience with us seeing a lion fish and octopus. James the guide was great and had a wealth of knowledge. Good food options with the voucher, tasty cocktails with a view finished with dolphins. Overall great experience
