What to expect

Set off from Brisbane on a full-day tour to Moreton Island and Tangalooma Island Resort, combining adventure, relaxation, and wildlife encounters. Begin with check-in at the wharf, where staff will confirm the day’s timings. Enjoy a 75-minute scenic boat ride across Moreton Bay, with a complimentary beverage available either on the way over or on the return.

Upon arrival, take time to explore the island and enjoy full access to resort facilities including swimming pools, cafés, restaurants, bars, and sandy beaches. Your adventure highlight is a guided snorkelling experience at the Tangalooma Wrecks — one of Australia’s top snorkelling sites, teeming with colourful reef fish, coral formations, and vibrant marine life.

In the afternoon, visit the Eco-Centre to attend the Discover the World of Dolphins presentation. Then relax with a cocktail or mocktail at a beachfront bar, ideally timed with sunset. As evening falls, head to the jetty for Tangalooma’s magical wild dolphin feeding program, where you can watch or even hand-feed these incredible animals under the guidance of eco rangers.

At approximately 7:00 PM, return to the wharf for your ferry back to Brisbane, arriving at around 8:15 PM. With snorkelling, resort leisure, and close-up dolphin encounters, this tour delivers a complete island experience in one unforgettable day.

Know before you go

  • The dolphin viewing experience is dependent on dolphin attendance, tides, and weather.
  • For your safety, you must disclose if you are suffering from any injury, medical condition (such as pregnancy, epilepsy, asthma or cardiovascular conditions), disability, disease, or illness, after booking. If you have an injury or a pre-existing medical condition, in order to participate, it is essential to provide a medical certificate confirming your fitness for snorkeling. Please bring the certificate with you on the day. If you suffer from asthma please bring your medication.
  • Minimum age to participate is 6 years.
  • Tour return time varies throughout the year according to sunset times. Tour departs Moreton Island at approximately 7 PM in Winter, 7:30 PM in Autumn and Spring, and 8:00 PM in Summer. Tour returns back to Brisbane approximately 75 minutes later.

Cancellation Policy

  • Customer-requested cancellations made at least 6 days prior to travel will receive a refund of 95% of the total booking amount. The remaining 5% will be retained as a non-refundable administration and booking fee. Cancellations made within 5 days of travel will incur a 100% cancellation fee, including no-shows.
  • Should supplier be required to cancel or the operation of the tour for any reason, including on the rare occasions due to inclement weather, an alternative date or itinerary will be offered to the passenger. If the alternative date or itinerary cannot be arranged or agreed upon, a full refund will be authorised. If the passenger accepts the alternative date or itinerary, no refunds will be issued.
