Start your day at the Brisbane wharf, where staff will confirm your timings for the day’s activities. Board a 75-minute scenic ferry ride across Moreton Bay, with the option to enjoy a complimentary beverage either on your outbound or return journey.

Arriving at Moreton Island, prepare for the highlight of the day — the Marine Discovery Cruise. Travel along the pristine coastline aboard a purpose-built vessel and keep an eye out for dolphins, dugongs, green sea turtles, rays, and other fascinating marine life. Throughout the cruise, your guide will provide expert eco commentary, sharing insights into the habits, habitats, and conservation of these unique creatures.

During the rest of your visit, enjoy full access to Tangalooma Island Resort’s facilities, including swimming pools, restaurants, bars, and sandy beaches. Relax, swim, or dine at your own pace before returning to the wharf for your 4:00 PM departure. After another scenic 75-minute boat ride, you’ll arrive back in Brisbane at approximately 5:15 PM.

What an amazing day out! The Marine Discovery Cruise was the absolute highlight — we saw pods of dolphins, a couple of sea turtles, and even a huge stingray gliding under the boat. The eco commentary made it really interesting and we learned a lot. The ferry ride was smooth and the resort pools were a great place to relax afterwards. Highly recommend this trip if you want a mix of wildlife and chill time!

Such a great escape from Brisbane. The ferry ride was easy, and once we got to Tangalooma the whole day just felt like a mini holiday. The Marine Discovery Cruise was so well run — spotted dugongs which was really special! Having access to the resort facilities made it extra comfortable. Definitely worth the money for a day trip.

  • A full refund will be offered for customer-requested cancellations made up to 6 days prior to travel. Cancellations made within 5 days of travel will incur a 100% cancellation fee, including no-shows. 
  • Should supplier be required to cancel or the operation of the tour for any reason, including on the rare occasions due to inclement weather, an alternative date or itinerary will be offered to the passenger. If the alternative date or itinerary cannot be arranged or agreed upon, a full refund will be authorised. If the passenger accepts the alternative date or itinerary, no refunds will be issued.

The cruise itself was really enjoyable and we did see a few dolphins and turtles, which was amazing. The commentary was informative too. I just wish we had a little bit longer on the water, as it felt like it ended a bit too soon. Still, the resort facilities made up for it — had a nice swim and lunch by the beach.
