Your full-day discovery tour of the Atherton Tablelands and Paronella Park begins with pickup from your Cairns accommodation or meeting point between 7:15 am and 7:45 am. Travelling south in an air-conditioned coach, enjoy your first photo stop at Walsh’s Pyramid before ascending into the Atherton Tablelands via the scenic Gillies Highway.
The morning includes a guided walk at Lake Barrine, admiring 1,000-year-old twin kauri pines, followed by a memorable Devonshire Tea overlooking the lake. Continue to the historical town of Yungaburra and the towering Curtain Fig Tree, where your guide will share the story of this 600–800-year-old rainforest giant.
Drive through Malanda and stop at Millaa Millaa Falls, one of Australia’s most-photographed waterfalls, where you can swim beneath the 20-metre cascade. After an a la carte lunch, descend via Palmerston Highway to Innisfail and arrive at Paronella Park, where you’ll have 2.5 hours to enjoy a guided tour and explore the gardens, Teresa Falls, and the Spanish-inspired castle ruins.
On the way back to Cairns, stop at a banana farm and, time permitting, at Babinda Boulders. Return to Cairns between 5:30 pm and 6:00 pm, after a full day of rainforest, waterfalls, and heritage discoveries.

I liked it a lot, it was a nice trip in a small group. It was clear that our guide Jeremy had a big knowledge about the plants and animals, he knew where you can spot the seldom animals best. I learned and saw alot and really enjoyed this trip.
Jeremy was an excellent tour guide, we really enjoyed exploring with him. We learnt so much about the Atherton tablelands. We would recommend him and the tour. Thanks for a great day.
Lawrence was a knowledgeable, respectful and fun guide. Very personable and a pleasure to meet. Itinerary was good. Perhaps a later start would be better with less time per stop particularly in wet weather.
Michelle was sensational and I honestly had such a fantastic day! I really enjoyed the whole day! Was so fun and really engaging!
The tours was excellent and good value. Mario was very knowledge and informative. The home cooked lunch was a pleasant surprise. I would highly recommend this tour.
