This active full-day tour from Hobart combines Tasmania’s iconic wildlife, history, and natural scenery. Begin with a drive to the Tasman Peninsula, stopping at Pirates Bay Lookout for panoramic views before walking the Waterfall Bay clifftop trail. This easy 45-minute walk leads to Tasman Arch and Devil’s Kitchen, two spectacular coastal rock formations.
Next, experience the Tasmanian Devil Unzoo, where you’ll witness a thrilling devil feeding, hand-feed wallabies, and stroll among native flora and fauna. Continue to the World Heritage-listed Port Arthur Historic Site for around 2.5 hours. Your entry includes a harbour cruise, expert-led site talks, and access to the penitentiary, solitary cells, and preserved ruins that reveal the harsh convict history of Australia.
On the return journey, visit Richmond, a picturesque village famous for its cafés, sweet shops, and Australia’s oldest convict-built sandstone bridge. This fast-paced tour blends adventure, wildlife, history, and culture into one unforgettable Tasmanian experience.
We arrive back into Hobart around 6.00pm.
Loved the whole day and hearing about the history of Port Arthur, seeing Tassie Devils and visiting Richmond. Matt our guide was really knowledgeable and a great guide. Excellent value for money, relaxing and we really enjoyed our tour to Port Arthur

we very enjoyed the tour and the Heather our guide was helpful and friendly
Heather, the guide, did an excellent job and made the trip very enjoyable.
Such a great day, surprisingly beautiful sights, and a great experience at Unzoo with the animals. Nick was such a passionate guide, brilliantly humorous as well and very sophisticated. Highly recommended!
A great mountain walk in the fresh air with spectacular views of the coast . Followed by an opportunity to view the Tasmania devils at the unzoo. The tour of port author and the town of Richmond made For a perfect day .
Heather is an excellent guide, knowledgeable and informative. She’s also an excellent driver, no small consideration given how much driving is involved. The 4 hours at Port Arthur is a fair amount of time although one could spend more time there with more stamina. I recommend the excursion
