Your day begins with an early morning departure from Sydney, crossing the Harbour Bridge and enjoying a scenic drive along the stunning Central Coast. After a short comfort stop, arrive in Nelson Bay, part of the traditional lands of the Worimi people.
Board a 90-minute Dolphin Discovery Eco Cruise on the turquoise waters of Port Stephens, home to around 140 bottlenose dolphins. Watch as they leap alongside the boat or surf the bow waves. Keep an eye out for pelicans, sea eagles, and even the occasional seal. During warmer months, enjoy the thrill of swimming in the boat’s boom net. Stay onboard afterward for a classic Aussie lunch of fish and chips, included in your tour.
Next, visit the Port Stephens Koala Sanctuary. Walk the Story Walk with educational sculptures, peek into the state-of-the-art Koala Hospital, and take the SKYwalk — an elevated treetop pathway offering rare opportunities to spot koalas in their natural habitat.
The afternoon brings an adrenaline rush at the Stockton Sand Dunes, the largest mobile sand dune system in the southern hemisphere. Ride a 4WD bus into the dunes and try sandboarding, a fun activity suitable for all ages. Return to Sydney in the evening after a day filled with wildlife, conservation, and adventure.

The activities were nice and diverse, we actually saw some dolphins and an awake koala (which one is more rare to see?). Aside from that, our tour guide Alfie (the Vegemightest) really livened up the atmosphere with his anecdotes and fun facts (I assume he was as great when speaking Chinese). Overal good planning and clear instructions, really enjoyed the day.
The most epic day, 10/10 recommend! The dolphin watching was magical, we had a great day for it and saw so many. Definitely bring your bathing suits to go down the waterslide into the boom net afterwards, that was a highlight. The koala sanctuary was so peaceful and so special to see and hear about each of their stories. Sand boarding to end the day was the absolute coolest thing ever! So fun and an awesome adventure all around. Chen was a fantastic guide and a great photographer to take us through it all!
The Sand boarding activity was awesome. Easy and lots of fun. A little bit disappointed with the dolphin cruise because we didn’t see much dolphins that day. But the weather was good and enjoyed the boat ride. A shout out to our guide Gordon who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the tour.
the tour guide Gordon is very nice and knowledgeable. He can speak both language English and Chinese. Anna bay is such a nice place just pity we can not ride camel
Well organised, lunch was very good. great that water was provided. Stephen, our guide, was excellent. We only saw a few dolphins which were quite far from the boat, but guess that can’t be helped. We were not so lucky!
