What to expect

Discover Rottnest Island at your own pace with a convenient day package including return ferry transfers from Hillarys Boat Harbour and Island Explorer bus tickets. Perth city hotel pickup and drop-off are also included for added ease.

After a scenic ferry ride to Rottnest, board the Island Explorer hop-on, hop-off bus, which loops around the island throughout the day. This service is not a guided tour — there is no commentary — but it offers a flexible and affordable alternative to cycling. Simply hop on or off at any of the designated stops to visit beaches, bays, lighthouses, and other island highlights.

Please note that as a hop-on, hop-off service, seating is not always guaranteed and you may need to stand during busy times. Prams, trolleys, and fishing rods must be folded to travel, and bikes or bulky items are not permitted on the bus.

With freedom to design your own itinerary, this package is ideal for those who want to explore Rottnest Island comfortably and at their own pace.

Super easy to book; Very professional & polite staff on the phone; Had the bus to & from the ferry to ourselves & the driver was BEAUTIFUL (especially friendly, helpful & lovely to talk with - made us feel very comfortable ) The bus & ferry were punctual; Whole day was stress free & enjoyable (Apart from an extremely bumpy ferry trip to the island - through NO fault of this exceptional company ) We highly recommend this experience

We live in Perth but have rarely made it across to Rotto. What a fantastic experience! We picked an off season 23 degree day and loved it - the beaches, facilities, service. It was like being on a desert island. A day to truly “get away from it all”. Highly recommended.
