Discover Rottnest Island the best way — by bike. This package includes same-day return ferry transfers from Fremantle and bike hire, giving you the freedom to explore over 63 beaches and 20 bays on this Class A Reserve. With no private vehicles on the island, cycling is the most popular and environmentally friendly way to get around.
Before boarding the ferry, collect your boarding passes and bike wristband from the reservations office. Once you arrive on Rottnest, your bike will be ready to collect from the ferry crew. Each hire includes a helmet and lock for your convenience. Adults (18+) must accompany any riders under 18 when collecting bikes. For families, Pedal & Flipper offers children’s bikes, baby seats, trailers, and e-bikes (available separately).
Cycling the full 22 km loop around the island takes around 3–5 hours, but shorter scenic routes are also available if you prefer a more relaxed pace. At the end of the day, simply return your bike to the crew and reboard the ferry to Fremantle, completing an active and memorable day on Rottnest Island.
Excellent trip. Make sure your bike's gears are working before leaving the jetty and ferry. You will need them on some of the hills on the island. One of our bikes was not operating through the gears properly and it made it tough in places to scale the road rises over the island.

It was good everything was clear the only thing that would be lovely is a basket on the bikes.
