What to expect

Set off from Perth on a full-day adventure to Rottnest Island, with return ferry transfers included. Depart from Barrack Street Jetty and enjoy a scenic Swan River cruise, passing Fremantle before crossing the Indian Ocean to Rottnest.

Upon arrival, join a 1.5-hour bus tour in air-conditioned comfort. With live commentary from your guide, learn about Rottnest’s flora, fauna, and rich colonial and maritime history. The bus tour covers all of the island’s must-see locations, including Wadjemup Lighthouse, Henrietta Rocks, Cathedral Rocks with its dramatic lookout, and Cape Vlamingh, famous for rugged coastal scenery and wildlife.

After your guided tour, enjoy free time to explore at your own pace. Relax on the pristine beaches, go for a swim, or grab a meal from one of the island’s cafés or general stores. Later in the afternoon, reboard the ferry for a smooth return journey to Perth, ending your day with sunset views along the Swan River.

The online booking was easy and smooth. The constant email and sms reminders of the impending trip was thoughtful and useful. The paperless tickets was great so that we did not need to queue up to obtain physical tickets and could board the vessel without any problems as the bar codes on the ticket worked just fine. The vessel was modern, clean and well equipped, although the ride was choppy and one of my sons had mild motion sickness. The bus tour was good. The tour guide cum driver was very knowledgeable and accommodating.

The ferry trip across was spectacular adventuring through the swell with an experienced and safe crew. The island is beautiful and we especially loved visiting many of the 63 beaches surrounded by much natural environment…… it truly is a paridise!!!
