Our Circular Quay departure location is called Campbell’s Cove Pontoon. It is located on the Western side of Circular Quay at the end of the Overseas Passenger Terminal in front of Squire’s Landing pub. This is just a departure location. We don’t have an office here. Your boat will be waiting at the pontoon at least 20 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. Approach the driver to sign in.

• A 95% refund will be offered for customer-requested cancellations made up to 6 days prior to travel, with a 5% non-refundable administration and booking fee retained. Cancellations made within 5 days of travel will incur a 100% cancellation fee, including no-shows.
• Should supplier be required to cancel or the operation of the tour for any reason, including on the rare occasions due to inclement weather, an alternative date or itinerary will be offered to the passenger. If the alternative date or itinerary cannot be arranged or agreed upon, a full refund will be authorised. If the passenger accepts the alternative date or itinerary, no refunds will be issued.

OSPREY is the more comfortable high-speed option, with regular forward-facing seats, a full canopy and more room to move around. It can still reach up to 41 knots and travels beyond Sydney Heads into open water, so the ride feels exciting and you may notice some movement when the swell builds. It is a strong choice if you want speed and close-to-the-water whale watching without straddle seating.

OSPREY’s full canopy offers more shelter than the open boats, and a wind and spray jacket is supplied for every guest. The sides remain open, so a little sea spray is still possible. Dress warmly in layers, wear flat closed shoes and bring sunglasses; a beanie and gloves are useful on colder days.

The regular seats and canopy make this one of the more comfortable speedboat choices, but the tour still enters the open Tasman Sea where swell can be felt. If you are prone to motion sickness, use the routine that normally works for you before boarding, eat lightly and keep your eyes on the horizon during the ride.

Small bags and personal belongings can be safely stowed in the onboard cabin while the boat is moving. Large luggage cannot be taken aboard, so bring only what you need. You can use a phone or camera when conditions allow, but keep it secure because sea spray is possible.

Yes. It is the most family-friendly high-speed whale-watching option in this fleet, with regular seating, a full canopy and extra room to move around. Children aged 6 and over can join. It is best for families whose children are comfortable with a fast boat ride and open-ocean movement.

Both offer a similar chance. Humpbacks migrate throughout the day, so the departure time does not determine sightings. Choose the time that fits your Sydney plans; if you are sensitive to sea movement and your dates are flexible, the offshore forecast is a more useful deciding factor than the hour.

The boat offers clear, close-to-the-water views while the skipper follows NSW whale-approach rules. Vessels normally remain at least 100 metres from an adult whale and 300 metres away when a calf is present. Curious whales may sometimes choose to swim closer, so the animals set the pace of the encounter.
