The daytime climb is a great choice if you want to see Sydney Harbour, the Opera House and the skyline in daylight. Departures run from morning to late afternoon, and you’ll follow the upper arch to the summit for the same guided 360-degree experience. Follow the confirmed time on your voucher, as start times vary by date.
Most guests with a general level of health and fitness can enjoy the climb, and the group moves at a relaxed pace with plenty of stops. The route has about 1,332 steps, plus four 5-metre ladders on the way up and another four on the way down, so you must be able to use stairs and ladders independently. Around two of the three hours are spent on the Bridge.
Yes. Many nervous guests make it to the top and finish feeling incredibly proud of themselves. You’ll stay securely attached throughout, while the wide handrailed arch, supportive guide and pre-climb ladder practice help you move with confidence.
Climbs usually continue in rain, and suitable weather gear is provided when needed. Wear comfortable layers and enclosed rubber-soled shoes; you can also bring sunglasses, which will be safely attached, while a cap and sunscreen are available for daytime conditions. Electrical storms, high winds or extreme heat may cause a delay or postponement, and the booking contact will be notified if the climb is affected.
Phones, cameras, GoPros, smart watches and other loose items can’t go onto the Bridge, but free secure lockers are provided. A printed group photo from the top is included, and your guide will take additional photos that you can choose to purchase afterwards. Ordinary glasses or sunglasses can be securely attached, but smart glasses aren’t permitted.
Allow around three hours for the experience, plus about 15 minutes before and after for check-in and collecting photos. Meet at 3 Cumberland Street in The Rocks and arrive at least 15 minutes before the confirmed time on your voucher. Around one hour is used for the briefing and preparation, followed by about two hours on the Bridge.
Yes. Every climber must complete the digital Health Declaration sent to the booking contact by email. Guests under 24 weeks pregnant may join with a GP-signed Certificate of Fitness, while guests over 24 weeks pregnant can’t participate; relevant medical conditions or injuries must also be disclosed.
You’ll have one final chance to use the bathroom before putting on your climb suit and safety gear. There are no toilet stops once preparation begins and you head onto the Bridge, so it’s best to go beforehand. Around two hours of this experience are spent on the Bridge.

Great experience !!. It was torrential rain ( but we had overalls and wet gear.)There was also a huge march on the bridge beneath us too , but none of it detracted from what was a great experience. I’d definitely recommend it !!
