We meet at the Lavender Bay Boatramp, that is on Railway Avenue, at the bottom of Lavender Crescent, just under the railway arch. You can also approach us from King George Street, just come down the stairs at the bottom of the hill, to get to the boat ramp.

Yes. Many first-time paddlers enjoy this experience, with an equipment fitting, a clear safety briefing and encouraging guide support throughout the session. Evening conditions can be livelier than at sunrise, so you should be comfortable with light physical activity and able to follow instructions on the water.

The sunset paddle is designed around beautiful views and photo opportunities with the Harbour Bridge and Opera House as your backdrop. The exact route is chosen for the evening’s light, harbour traffic and water conditions, and sunset sessions do not normally pass beneath the Bridge.

This booking is for one person in a single kayak, so every guest has their own kayak and controls their own pace with the guides close by. Double kayaks are not included in this booking.

Guests aged 12 years and over can join. Kayaking is a light physical activity, so a basic level of fitness and the ability to paddle comfortably are recommended. The maximum capacity for the single kayak used for this booking is 140 kilograms.

Yes. Your guides take complimentary photos with Sydney Harbour’s landmarks behind you and send them digitally after the session. You are also welcome to take your own photos during calm moments, while the guide-shot images make it easy to stay present and enjoy the paddle.

Expect a few splashes and wear comfortable, quick-drying clothes with shoes you do not mind getting wet. Bring spare shoes, a change of clothes, water, sunglasses and a hat. In cooler months, add a warm layer because the harbour can feel chilly as evening settles in.
