The remaining 5% will be retained as a non-refundable administration and booking fee. Cancellations made within 5 days of travel will incur a 100% cancellation fee, including no-shows.

You can choose a walk that suits your energy level. Reaching the Airwalk involves a gentle uphill section and just over 100 steps, while keen walkers can add the swinging-bridges circuit. For an easier option, the Huon Pine Walk is a relaxed 20-minute riverside stroll. The cave visit also involves plenty of stairs, so reasonable fitness and good mobility are important.

The guided cave tour takes around 45 minutes and leads through spacious chambers filled with striking formations. There are no tight squeezes, but the route includes many stairs. The cave stays at about 9°C year-round, so bring a warm layer and wear supportive walking shoes.

Yes. Bring your swimwear if you would like to enjoy the 28°C thermal pool. Change rooms and hot showers are available, and the nearby Hot Springs Nature Trail is a lovely alternative if you prefer to stay dry. Time at the reserve is shared between lunch, the pool or nature trail and the guided cave visit, so plan for a refreshing dip rather than a long swim.

Yes, for families with children aged 8 and over who are comfortable with an active full day. The treetop walkway, swinging bridges, underground cave and thermal pool give children plenty of variety, while the easier Huon Pine Walk offers a gentler forest option. Everyone should be able to manage stairs and steady walking without assistance.

Meals and drinks are not included, but there is an opportunity to buy a bakery-style takeaway lunch and snacks on the way. You are also welcome to bring your own food and water. Lunch is usually enjoyed in the picnic area at Hastings Caves Reserve.

Pickup and drop-off from selected Hobart hotels are included. The tour departs at around 7.30am and normally returns between approximately 5.30pm and 6.00pm. Pickup timing varies by hotel, so check the pickup details supplied with your booking.
