Take on the thrill of abseiling down the 25m high Kangaroo Point Cliffs at twilight, with Brisbane’s city lights twinkling behind you. Nervous at first? That’s natural — but with expert instructors by your side, you’ll quickly feel safe, confident, and ready to enjoy the adrenaline rush of stepping over the edge.
This 90-minute experience begins with a full safety briefing and demonstration. You’ll learn the basics of abseiling, also known as rappelling, which is a controlled descent down a vertical surface. At Kangaroo Point, you’ll descend approximately 25 metres, with both you and your guide working together to ensure a safe and steady experience.
No prior experience is needed, as your guide will manage the technical setup while you simply feed the rope through your hand and walk down the cliff face. All equipment is provided, and participants must be at least 8 years of age. With stunning views, expert guidance, and the excitement of abseiling by nightfall, this is one of Brisbane’s most unforgettable adventures.
Harry was a great tour guide. Got us set up and climbing quickly and effectively. Helped us navigate a few tricky climbs and was generally a good sport. Enjoyed the time greatly.
This was our second time bringing our teen to climb at Kangaroo Point Cliffs and he loved it. Harry (who was also our host on the last climb) was kind and helpful, and very knowledgeable about climbing techniques. I took my son and nephew for an abseil a couple of weeks ago and also booked them the twilight climb which they did last night. George was our instructor on both occasions and the boys absolutely loved their trip down and up the cliff-face (both kids had quite a bit of experience with indoor climbing and the climb up the cliffs was perfect for them). We were super lucky to be in small groups on both occasions and the boys had plenty of turns up and down which they loved. George was very friendly, knowledgeable and very encouraging of the kids (aged 14) and we all had a wonderful experience. Thanks so much!! I’ve booked again to take my kids and all their cousins 🙂
