What to expect

Take to the skies on a scenic helicopter flight that showcases two of Australia’s most iconic landmarks — Uluru and Kata Tjuta. After boarding, your pilot will provide commentary as you soar above the desert, offering panoramic views of the Red Centre.

From above, admire the immensity of Uluru and then fly toward Kata Tjuta, meaning “many heads.” This sacred site is made up of 36 rock domes, the tallest rising nearly 200 metres higher than Uluru. Due to restrictions on the ground, visitors can only access 75% of Kata Tjuta, making an aerial perspective the best way to appreciate the entire formation.

With wide bubble windows for photography, this unforgettable flight allows you to capture the beauty and scale of both Uluru and Kata Tjuta, creating memories to treasure for a lifetime.

Know before you go

  • These flights do not fly directly over nor completely around Uluru or Kata Tjuta due to the cultural sensitivity of the feature
  • You will need to be able to use steps and platforms to enter and exit the helicopter
  • A 2-person minimum applies to flights. Single passengers will be paired with other passengers
  • The listed departure times are approximated. The activity provider will contact you to confirm your flight and meeting point time. They will do their best to accommodate your preferred departure time, though it cannot be guaranteed

  • A full refund will be offered for customer-requested cancellations made up to 6 days prior to travel. Cancellations made within 5 days of travel will incur a 100% cancellation fee, including no-shows.

It is seeing Uluru in a totally different way. If from the ground it is amazing, from the air it is wondrous. Uluru is a once in a lifetime experience. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity via helicopter. The pilot gave details throughout the tour, made sure to turn for both sides to see equally, the transport picked us up on time, and everything was stress free.

After looking at Uluru and Kata Tjuta from the ground, the helicopter flight put it all in perspective and the commentary from the pilot was excellent. You’re able to see aspects & features of Uluru that you just can’t see from the ground. Absolutely recommend this activity, especially if you think you might not come back. It’s a must do!
