What to expect

Start your morning with a transfer from Yulara to the desert site of the Field of Light, Bruce Munro’s internationally acclaimed art installation. Begin in darkness as your guide explains the inspiration behind the work, then wander along pathways surrounded by 50,000 illuminated glass spheres glowing softly in the desert night.

After exploring the installation, climb to the Dune Top viewing area for a warming tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. From this elevated point, watch as the Red Centre awakens — Uluru glowing in shades of red and orange while Kata Tjuta comes into view behind you.

As the sun rises higher, the desert transforms with natural light, and the Field of Light gradually dims for the day. Capture unforgettable photos from this unique vantage point, blending art, nature, and one of the world’s most iconic landscapes.

Our guide Mitch was very friendly and engaging. He had a lot of knowledge about the area. We felt safe on the bus ride in the dark. The light installation was amazing and the sunrise over Uluru and reflecting on The Olga’s was spectacular.

Fantastic trip!! Field of Lights was absolutely amazing and a must do activity when in Ayers Rock! The staff taking us to the site were friendly and offered to take photos. Would highly recommend

Cancellation Policy

  • Customer-requested cancellations made at least 8 days prior to travel will receive a refund of 95% of the total booking amount. The remaining 5% will be retained as a non-refundable administration and booking fee. Cancellations made within 7 days of travel will incur a 100% cancellation fee, including no-shows.
  • Should supplier be required to cancel or the operation of the tour for any reason, including on the rare occasions due to inclement weather, an alternative date or itinerary will be offered to the passenger. If the alternative date or itinerary cannot be arranged or agreed upon, a full refund will be authorised. If the passenger accepts the alternative date or itinerary, no refunds will be issued.
