See Whitehaven Beach from both sides in one beautifully balanced day, with the famous Hill Inlet views at the northern end and plenty of time to relax at the southern end. Departing Port of Airlie at around 7.15am, you’ll cruise through the Whitsunday Islands before stepping ashore for a full day of white sand, turquoise water and island scenery.
Your first Whitehaven experience takes you to the northern end, where a smaller transfer vessel brings you closer to Hill Inlet. Follow your guide on a short walk through the national park to the lookout and watch the tide create its ever-changing patterns of blue water and brilliant white sand. There is time to enjoy the view, take photos and explore this spectacular corner of the island before continuing south.
At southern Whitehaven Beach, the pace slows down. Swim in the clear shallows, stretch out on the silica sand, join the beach games or walk to the southern lookout for another sweeping view along the coast. An Aussie-style beach BBQ is prepared by the crew, with morning and afternoon tea also included, so the day feels easy from the moment you arrive.
With up to six hours spent across Whitehaven Beach, this tour gives you time for more than a quick photograph. You can see Hill Inlet, enjoy both ends of the beach and still have space in the day to swim, walk and simply take it all in. Protective stinger suits are provided, and your dedicated host looks after the day before the cruise returns to Port of Airlie at around 6.00pm.
Perfect experience, food available at almost every time, super friendly tourguides!

A fantastic day! Pampered from start to finish by the staff. After arriving at the port, you board the boat where you have free access to hot drinks, water, and snacks. The trip takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes (including stops at Daydream Island and Hamilton Island). Upon arrival, you disembark at Whitehaven on a smaller boat… and there you are in paradise! Time for a swim or a little relaxation, then you are taken in groups to the wonderful Look Inlett, a natural wonder! You won’t be disappointed. The guys are really helpful and attentive, telling lots of interesting stories and facts without being boring. Then they take you back to the main beach for a delicious lunch and time to relax! The drop-off at Airlie Beach is scheduled for around 3:45 p.m. and hot drinks and snacks/fruit are provided free of charge on the return trip. A truly magical day, everything was perfect!
Tour planning was good and tour guide John was very personable, a lot of fun with him.
It was lovely, more info on what to bring e.g flip flops as the smaller boat to Whitsundays viewpoint required us getting our feet wet when getting on/off the boat. BBQ was nice, would have preferred more vegetarian options. Morning and Afternoon tea were amazing and the food included makes a massive difference and very easy.
The food is good and the snacks are good, you don’t need to bring anything because they offer you a lot, the boat is very good, I didn’t get seasick at all, the areas you visit are beautiful and you have plenty of time on the beaches.
Magnificent nature in the national park…
