Check in at Meeting Point D, Coral Sea Marina at 8:20am, then board Super Flyer for the 9am departure. The 80-passenger catamaran has air-conditioned indoor seating, outdoor sun lounges, two bathrooms, two changing rooms and a licensed bar, giving you comfortable places to settle in as you travel through the Whitsunday Islands.
Once you reach South Whitehaven Beach, on-demand water taxis run between Super Flyer and the shore throughout the day. Swim, walk along the silica sand or return to the boat whenever you are ready. Both ticket options also include a guided walk to South Whitehaven Lookout, where the view stretches along Whitehaven Beach and across the surrounding islands.
Buffet lunch and snacks are served onboard, with drinking-water refills available when you bring your own bottle. Stinger suits are included, and guests booked on the snorkelling option also receive masks, snorkels and fins.
Which ticket is right for you?
1. Whitehaven Beach All Day
Choose this option if you want the most time at South Whitehaven Beach. You will have around four to five hours to swim, relax, explore the shoreline and join the lookout walk, with unlimited transfers between the beach and Super Flyer.
2. Whitehaven Beach + Snorkelling
Choose this option if you want to combine Whitehaven Beach with the underwater side of the Whitsundays. Along with more than two hours at the beach and the lookout walk, you will transfer to ZigZag’s smaller fast boat for approximately one hour at a Whitsundays reef location. Snorkelling equipment, stinger suits and crew guidance are included.
Both ticket groups travel together aboard Super Flyer and meet again during the day, making this an easy choice for families and friends with different activity preferences. The crew selects the snorkelling location and may adjust the activity order according to wind, tides and sea conditions. Super Flyer returns to Airlie Beach at around 5pm.
Really efficient & well organised – staff were super informative, the snorkelling was incredible and there was plenty of food provided. Highly recommend
Today’s trip was absolutely amazing and we have made some very special memories. I can’t recommend this trip enough to anyone who is considering booking it. The staff were all incredible, warm, knowledgeable welcoming and funny. Jess is one of a kind. She will also run half a mile to return your trainers you may have left on the boat after the trip! A definite trip to book!!!!! With great toilets and a great bar!!!

Both tickets travel aboard Super Flyer and include South Whitehaven Beach, unlimited boat-to-beach transfers, the guided South Whitehaven Lookout walk, lunch, snacks and a stinger suit. The All Day ticket provides around four to five hours at the beach. The Snorkelling ticket combines more than two hours at the beach with approximately one hour at a Whitsundays reef location.
This tour visits South Whitehaven Beach and South Whitehaven Lookout. It does not visit Hill Inlet Lookout at the northern end of Whitsunday Island. The South lookout gives you elevated views along Whitehaven Beach and across the surrounding islands.
Yes. Everyone travels together aboard Super Flyer. Guests with the snorkelling ticket transfer to ZigZag’s smaller fast boat for the reef session, while All Day ticket holders continue enjoying Whitehaven Beach. The groups meet again during the day.
Snorkelling participation is assessed by the crew on the day and cannot be guaranteed for non-swimmers. The crew considers your confidence in the water, relevant medical conditions, the day’s conditions and your ability to follow instructions. Masks, snorkels, fins and stinger suits are provided. Travellers who prefer not to enter the water can select the All Day beach ticket.
Yes. The All Day ticket welcomes children from three months of age, while the snorkelling activity is intended for children aged four and over. Families travelling with an infant on the snorkelling ticket can normally divide the snorkelling sessions so one parent remains with the child. Child-sized life jackets and stinger suits are available, and the on-demand beach transfers make it easier to return to the boat for a break.
The track is approximately 900 metres each way and normally takes about 45 minutes return, including time at the lookout. Comfortable footwear, water, a hat and moderate fitness are recommended. The tour is not wheelchair accessible and guests need sufficient mobility for boat transfers, beach access and the walk.
Super Flyer has air-conditioned seating, outdoor sun lounges, two bathrooms, two changing rooms and a licensed bar. Buffet lunch, snacks and drinking-water refills are included. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free meals can be arranged when dietary requirements are provided at the time of booking.
Check-in is at Meeting Point D, Coral Sea Marina at 8:20am for a 9am departure. Allow an extra 10–15 minutes if you need to park and walk to the meeting point. Hotel transfers are not included, and the approximately 5pm return means this tour is not suitable for passengers visiting Airlie Beach on a cruise ship.
excellent snorkelling with lots of coral and fish to see.
A great day out, the SuperFlyer was a smooth ride out to Whitehaven and the coffee and snacks on the way were just what we needed to prepare for a nice day on the beach, walking up to the Lookout and snorkelling. Lunch onboard was so fresh and lots of food for everyone and we got to relax outside on the deck before heading back out for more beach time. The crew were all amazing, friendly, helpful and very informative about the area and the commentary on the way home about the surrounding Islands was great.
Had the best day ever, we enjoyed every second – all the staff were fantastic, faultless day out.
Great and enthousiastic guides! We felt very safe while snorkeling and sailing the boat.
Jess and Carla were super insightful about the island and reefs! We also loved the sundeck on the boat, and the lunch was delicious!
