The upper-deck experience is limited to no more than 30 adults, creating a quieter and more spacious setting for the cruise. It includes banquette seating, direct access to the captain’s bridge and a private viewing deck, along with morning tea, lunch, Tasmanian wines and artisan brews.

Yes. Dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice. The included menu normally features local oysters, smoked meats, breads, cheeses and salad, accompanied by East Coast wines and artisan brews. After booking, please contact us with any dietary requirements.

The cruise travels aboard a purpose-built 24-metre catamaran with comfortable enclosed seating, and most guests enjoy the journey without difficulty. Sea conditions can vary, so natural ginger motion-sickness tablets are available onboard. Sitting towards the rear of the vessel, staying cool and looking towards the horizon can also help you remain comfortable.

The Freycinet coastline still offers a memorable day on the water if conditions require a change of route. The cruise may explore the rugged Schouten Island group instead, with sheltered passages, dramatic coastal scenery and the chance to see a large Australian fur seal haul-out. In extremely poor weather, the cruise may be cancelled.

This experience is designed as a scenic coastal cruise rather than a beach visit. You remain aboard while exploring the Freycinet coastline, with lunch served at anchor in beautiful surroundings. A beach landing, shore walk and swimming stop are not included.

Keep watch for dolphins riding the bow wave, Australian fur seals, sea eagles, cormorants, albatrosses and little penguins. Humpback and southern right whales also pass through these waters during their migration, most often from May to July and September to December. Every day on the water is different, making wildlife sightings part of the excitement.

Yes. Free parking is available near Coles Bay Jetty, close to the departure office at 61 Jetty Road. The drive takes around 2.5 hours from Hobart or around 2 hours from Launceston, so allow additional time for traffic and check-in.
