This cruise is the more flexible choice for couples, families and mixed-age groups. You’ll travel in a spacious, air-conditioned lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows, easy access to the outdoor decks, and a licensed bar and café for drinks and snacks. You can pre-book the Ploughman’s-style lunch or bring your own food.

The adults-only alternative offers a smaller upper-deck setting with a private viewing deck, direct access to the captain’s bridge, and morning tea, lunch and selected drinks included.

Dietary requirements can be requested for the pre-booked lunch. The standard Ploughman’s-style lunch includes smoked meats, salad, cheeses, a locally baked bread roll, fruit and a sweet treat.

The catamaran is purpose-built for local coastal conditions and most guests travel comfortably. The open-sea section can feel lively when the swell is up, so if you’re prone to motion sickness, we recommend preparing before departure, choosing a seat towards the rear and looking towards the horizon. Ginger travel tablets are also available onboard.

An alternative route can still deliver a memorable day on the water. When conditions make Wineglass Bay inaccessible, the cruise may explore the rugged Schouten Island Group instead, with striking coastline and a large Australian fur seal haulout among the highlights.

Free parking is available near Coles Bay Jetty, close to check-in at 61 Jetty Road. Allow around 2.5 hours from Hobart or 2 hours from Launceston, and plan to arrive by 9.30am for the 9.45am departure.
