Depart Hobart and journey along Tasmania’s stunning east coast to Freycinet National Park, home to pink granite mountains, white sandy beaches, and turquoise waters. On arrival, take the famous 45-minute uphill hike to Wineglass Bay Lookout, where unforgettable views await. For keen walkers, continue down to Wineglass Bay Beach for lunch, a swim, or a stroll on pristine sands.
If you prefer a shorter walk, explore Honeymoon Bay and Cape Tourville Lighthouse with your guide — both part of Tasmania’s Great Short Walks and perfect for photography. After around four hours in the park, regroup and head to Devil’s Corner winery. With views stretching over Freycinet, relax with a glass of wine, fresh seafood, woodfired pizza, or artisan gelato before returning to Hobart in the evening.
We return to Hobart around 6.00pm.
The trip is beyond my expectations. The drive is long, but the winter scenery is unique. The guide, Mathew, is knowledgeable about the vegetation and geography of Tasmania, and he gave vivid instructions. A really unforgettable experience.
This was a great day. Lucas was incredibly knowledgeable and so friendly. All the spots we went to on Freycinet were amazing – gorgeous scenery and a bit of a hidden gem. The winery at the end was a nice touch. Would highly recommend.

Very impressive, though rainy and was given a no-rain space for sightseeing spots which we felt grateful. Trevor, our guide was very friendly and his English is clear that l understood everything he told us. He is knowledgeable and super friendly, and passionate about the place.
Wineglass bay was beautiful and the stop at Devil’s Corner to finish the day was excellent Heather the guide was wonderful!
Our guide Carl was terrific, communicated all details clearly to the group, made enough stops to stretch legs and to make sure everyone had what they needed. He shared some local information about plants, wildlife and history and is very warm and personable. This day tour is so beautiful and so much fun — we loved the walks and gorgeous views of the bay and surrounding rock formations. We also enjoyed a short stop at a vineyard on the way back.
Our guide was outstanding, he made our trip more interesting with insights on the flora, fauna, animals, etc. He also knew exactly the right spots to go. We brought our lunch to the perfect tranquil spot. We even spotted some whales playing. this was one of our top tours.
Nice views from the lookout although not quite the full view seen in some photos. Not too strenuous a climb with options for those who wanted a lesser climb or to go the whole way to the beach as 2 people did. Enjoyed Honeymoon bay stop for lunch. Watched others swim in the clear water. Heather looked after us well thanks
